It follows a primatologist who must team-up with George, an albino gorilla who turns into a raging creature of enormous size following a rogue experiment, in order to stop an invasion of monsters. Principal photography began in April 2017 in Chicago. The film is scheduled to be released in the United States on April 13, 2018 by Warner Bros. To make matters worse, a grey wolf named Ralph and an American crocodile named Lizzie have been infected too. With the help of a discredited genetic engineer named Dr. Kate Caldwell, he must save George, stop Ralph and Lizzie from destroying most of America, and find out who mutated the animals. [11] In June 2015, Deadline reported that Dwayne Johnson was set to star and re-team with New Line and producer Beau Flynn, while studio was looking for a director to start production in the mid-2016.[2] In July, it was reported that New Line was in talks with director Brad Peyton to direct and produce.[12] Peyton would later state that the film would "be a lot more emotional, a lot scarier and a lot more real than you'd expect."[13] Filming Principal photography on the film began on April 17, 2017 in Chicago, Illinois.[14][15] The film also shot in Atlanta, Georgia.
